Who you are
You have a strong background in analytics engineering with a focus on building and maintaining data infrastructure — your experience includes designing relational and non-relational database models that support complex data needs. You possess a strategic mindset and an innate curiosity that drives you to explore innovative solutions in data management and reporting.
Your technical expertise allows you to lead the development of data pipelines and visualization solutions — you are comfortable working with both structured and unstructured data, ensuring high-quality, trusted data products are delivered to stakeholders. You have a proven track record of mentoring other analytics engineers, uplifting engineering best practices, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
You thrive in a role that requires cross-functional collaboration — your ability to partner with various business units enables you to deliver insights that inform key talent programs. You are adept at communicating complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that data-driven decisions are made effectively.
Desirable

What you'll do
In this role, you will serve as the technical lead for Affirm's people data ecosystem — your primary responsibility will be to design and deliver scalable data architecture that supports the People Analytics organization. You will oversee the development of data pipelines and reporting solutions, ensuring that they meet the evolving needs of the business.
You will collaborate closely with various teams to understand their data requirements and deliver high-value insights that drive informed decision-making. Your role will involve shaping the data roadmap, introducing modern tooling, and implementing best practices in data engineering.
You will also play a key role in mentoring and guiding other analytics engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team. Your leadership will help elevate the overall capabilities of the People Analytics team, ensuring that they are equipped to handle complex data challenges.
