Overview

Affirm is seeking a Senior Analytics Manager to drive the evolution of credit decisioning capabilities across international markets. You'll leverage advanced data analytics and partner with Engineering to design scalable risk models. This role requires deep credit domain expertise and exceptional analytical skills.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in analytics with at least 5 years of experience in credit strategy or risk management — you've successfully led initiatives that balance growth, customer experience, and risk. Your analytical rigor is exceptional, allowing you to derive insights from complex data sets and translate them into actionable strategies. You thrive in ambiguous environments and can effectively communicate complex regulatory and economic insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your experience in the FinTech sector gives you a unique perspective on consumer lending and credit systems.

You possess deep credit domain expertise, understanding the nuances of credit decisioning and portfolio performance — you've worked closely with cross-functional teams to design compliant credit systems. Your ability to influence stakeholders is a key strength, enabling you to drive high-impact initiatives across products and geographies. You are comfortable operating at both strategic and execution levels, ensuring that your team's efforts align with the company's long-term vision.

Desirable

Experience with international credit markets is a plus, as is familiarity with regulatory compliance in different jurisdictions. You have a proven track record of optimizing credit strategies through advanced data analytics and are skilled in using tools like SQL for data manipulation and analysis.

What you'll do

In this role, you will leverage advanced data analytics to optimize credit strategies across various products and international markets. You will partner with Engineering to design and build scalable risk models and credit risk capabilities that align with Affirm's mission of redefining responsible consumer lending. Monitoring portfolio performance and macroeconomic trends will be a key responsibility, allowing you to make informed decisions that impact the company's growth.

You will lead high-impact initiatives that require collaboration with Engineering, Product, Legal, and Compliance teams — your ability to navigate these relationships will be crucial for success. You will also be responsible for shaping the long-term direction of Affirm's underwriting and portfolio performance, ensuring that the company's credit models are both effective and compliant.

Your role will involve translating complex regulatory insights into actionable credit strategies, helping to guide the company's international expansion efforts. You will be expected to stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, adapting strategies as necessary to maintain compliance and optimize performance.

What we offer

Affirm is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment where you can thrive. We offer competitive compensation packages, including salary and benefits that reflect your experience and contributions. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a fast-growing FinTech company, shaping the future of consumer lending.

Join us in our mission to make credit more honest and friendly — your work will directly influence how consumers experience credit and financial services. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
