Affirm is seeking a Quantitative Analyst II to develop and enhance capital structuring and quantitative finance models. You'll work with Python and SQL to analyze large-scale financial data and provide insights for capital market strategies. This role requires a Master's degree in a related field and 2 years of relevant experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You hold a Masterβs degree in Mathematical Finance, Mathematics, or a related field, and you have at least 2 years of experience in quantitative analysis. Your expertise includes using SQL and Python for in-depth analysis of large-scale datasets, and you are familiar with industry-standard tools such as Intex and Bloomberg for pricing fixed income products, including Loan and Asset-Backed securities. You have a strong analytical mindset and are capable of conducting in-depth evaluations to inform funding, product, and business decisions. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive optimal capital market strategies.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing capital structuring and quantitative finance models tailored to Affirmβs consumer loan portfolio. You will build quantitative models to track portfolio risk metrics, strengthening risk management protocols and optimizing asset utilization strategies. Your work will involve analyzing large-scale financial data and providing insights on capital markets deals to cross-functional teams. You will evaluate and perform in-depth analysis to inform critical business decisions, collaborating with teams such as Capital Markets, Treasury, Merchant Pricing, Credit, Commercial, Product, and Engineering. Additionally, you will structure Asset-Backed Security (ABS) transactions, forecast consumer loan performance, and leverage advanced statistical and mathematical techniques to build quantitative models.
