Agoda is hiring an Indirect Tax Advisory Specialist to manage VAT, sales tax, GST, and other indirect tax matters. You'll work closely with the Product and Legal teams in Bangkok. This role requires expertise in tax regulations and compliance.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in tax advisory, particularly in indirect taxes such as VAT, sales tax, and GST. Your experience includes managing compliance with tax regulations across various jurisdictions, ensuring that all tax matters are handled efficiently and accurately. You possess excellent stakeholder management skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product and Legal.
You are detail-oriented and analytical, with the ability to scope challenges and develop comprehensive solutions. Your project management skills enable you to take ownership of your projects from inception to execution, ensuring that all aspects are addressed and aligned with the company's goals. You thrive in a dynamic environment and are adaptable to the changing tax landscape for digital services.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for managing all tax advisory matters related to indirect taxes for Agoda. This includes ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations, as well as providing guidance on tax implications for various business operations. You will work closely with the Indirect Tax Manager and the broader tax advisory team to develop strategies that align with Agoda's business objectives.
You will lead your own projects, which will involve scoping the challenges, budgeting, and executing solutions. Your role will require you to engage with various stakeholders, ensuring that all tax-related matters are communicated effectively and that the necessary actions are taken to mitigate risks. You will also stay updated on changes in tax legislation and advise the company on how these changes may impact operations.
