Who you are
You have a strong background in tax technology and systems, with experience in designing and implementing tax solutions that meet compliance requirements. You understand the complexities of indirect tax and have a keen interest in how technology can streamline tax processes. You are comfortable working in a collaborative environment, engaging with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology, and Legal to ensure tax systems are robust and effective.
You possess excellent analytical skills, allowing you to assess tax data and technology needs effectively. Your ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals is a key strength, enabling you to bridge the gap between tax and technology teams. You are proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement within tax systems and processes, and you thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of Agoda's tax systems, focusing on indirect tax engines and compliance enablement. You will work closely with the Tax Data & Technology Associate Director and be part of a rapidly expanding Tax team. Your hands-on approach will be essential in ensuring that the tax systems are aligned with the evolving global tax landscape for digital services.
You will collaborate with various teams, including Product, Technology, Supply, and Legal, to ensure that tax considerations are integrated into product development and operational processes. Your role will involve analyzing tax data, identifying compliance risks, and implementing solutions to mitigate those risks. You will also be responsible for maintaining documentation related to tax systems and processes, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
