This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and experience in verification processes.
Job Description
Who you are
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and have a solid understanding of ASIC verification processes. Your experience includes identifying bugs in architecture, algorithms, functionality, and performance, showcasing your strong overall debugging skills. You have a proven track record of verifying at multiple levels of logic, from IP blocks to SoCs and full system testing, which has equipped you with a comprehensive understanding of the verification landscape.
You are skilled in using and/or building bit accurate C models, which is essential for evaluating block and sub-systems for testability and verifiability. Writing comprehensive block and system-level test plans is second nature to you, and you excel at building assertions, traffic generators, and scoreboards to ensure thorough testing. Your rigorous approach to executing test plans and performing debug tasks demonstrates your commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Desirable
A Master's degree in Electrical or Communications Engineering would be a plus, as it would further enhance your technical expertise. Familiarity with the latest in AI, video processing, low power communications, and CMOS fabrication technology will set you apart as an innovator in this field.
What you'll do
As an ASIC Verification Engineer at Amazon, you will join a vertically integrated team environment focused on delivering highly differentiated silicon for Blink and Ring battery-powered devices. Your role will involve early architectural and micro-architectural trade-offs aimed at reducing time-to-revenue by shortening the design verification cycle. You will be part of a team that works backwards from customer requirements to build super-low power, energy-efficient designs.
You will utilize your skills to evaluate and enhance the testability and verifiability of various blocks and subsystems. Writing comprehensive test plans will be a key responsibility, ensuring that all aspects of the design are thoroughly validated. You will also be tasked with building assertions and traffic generators, which are critical for effective testing.
Your day-to-day activities will include executing test plans and performing rigorous debugging to identify and resolve issues promptly. You will collaborate closely with other engineers to ensure that the verification process aligns with the overall project goals and customer expectations. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and performance of the products we deliver.
What we offer
At Amazon, you will be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and collaboration. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will work in a supportive environment that encourages creativity and problem-solving, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on the products we create.
Join us in shaping the future of technology and delivering exceptional products that our customers love. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — your unique perspective and skills could be just what we need.
