Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, and you possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal. You have experience debugging hardware systems, particularly with power supplies and standard interfaces such as I2C, UART, SPI, MIPI, and DDR. Your familiarity with schematic capture and layout tools like Altium or Orcad sets you apart, and you have coding experience in Python and/or C.
You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to provide feedback on product design and performance optimization. Your attention to detail ensures that you generate and maintain hardware design, testing, and quality control documentation effectively. You are passionate about delivering high-quality products that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
What you'll do
As a Hardware Applications Engineer, you will design and develop hardware products, including circuit boards, components, and systems, while adhering to industry standards and best practices. You will participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and product validation activities to ensure compliance with regulations. Your role will involve collaborating with product teams to increase the velocity of features and time to ship products, directly impacting the success of Blink and Ring devices.
You will work on state-of-the-art SoCs in a vertically integrated team environment, focusing on delivering highly differentiated silicon. Your contributions will help build super-low power, energy-efficient designs that incorporate the latest advancements in AI, video processing, and low power communications. You will also be responsible for generating and maintaining documentation related to hardware design and testing, ensuring that all processes are well-documented and compliant with industry standards.
