Your responsibilities will include designing battery protection circuits and pack designs for NPI programs, which involves schematic design and component selection. You will also develop and review battery pack schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and layouts to meet design requirements.
Conducting system and design reviews will be a key part of your role, as will performing DFMEA and risk assessments to identify potential issues early in the development process. You will analyze and resolve battery-related issues that arise during production and in the field, ensuring that products are safe and reliable. Supporting battery certification processes, such as CTIA/IEEE1725, will also be part of your responsibilities, as you work to ensure compliance with industry standards.
You will manage and coordinate with contract manufacturers on battery development for NPI programs, building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners to facilitate smooth project execution. Your collaborative approach will help drive innovation and ensure that the final products meet the high standards expected by Amazon and its customers.
