Who you are
You have a strong background in business development, particularly within the federal sector, and understand the nuances of engaging with defense contractors and system integrators. Your experience includes defining and executing market development plans that align with strategic business objectives. You are adept at identifying key customers and partners, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work closely with sales, marketing, and service teams to drive growth.
You possess a solid understanding of technical requirements and can effectively communicate with internal development teams to ensure that product offerings meet customer mission requirements. Your familiarity with Salesforce.com and other internal systems allows you to manage business development pipelines efficiently. You are comfortable presenting business reviews to senior management, articulating progress and roadblocks in expanding contracted spend across the Federal market.
Desirable
Experience in the B2B space, particularly in procurement solutions, is a plus. Familiarity with innovative purchasing strategies and a track record of successful engagement with federal clients will set you apart. You are a strategic thinker who can navigate complex organizational structures and build relationships that foster collaboration and success.
What you'll do
In this role, you will define and execute a contracted spend market development plan that aligns with Amazon Business's strategic direction. You will partner with key internal stakeholders, including sales teams and marketing, to ensure that your strategies are effectively implemented. Your responsibilities will include identifying and engaging key customers and partners, particularly in the defense sector, to formulate deal strategies that drive growth.
You will support the business development pipeline by actively engaging with prospects and partners, understanding their needs, and aligning them with Amazon's offerings. Your role will require you to present business reviews to senior management, providing insights into progress and challenges in expanding planned spend across the Federal market.
You will also work closely with internal development teams to guide the direction of product offerings, ensuring they meet the technical requirements of customers. Your ability to understand and leverage Salesforce.com will be crucial in managing relationships and tracking progress effectively.
