You have a strong background in export compliance, with at least 5 years of experience implementing export controls in a multinational company. You possess a deep understanding of global export regulations and have experience in developing compliance programs that address both tangible and intangible requirements. You are proactive in driving continuous process improvement and are comfortable working closely with legal teams to monitor and analyze regulatory changes. Your ability to conduct impact assessments and manage updates ensures that compliance programs remain responsive to evolving regulations.

Desirable

Experience with AI, Quantum technologies, or other emerging technologies is a plus. You are creative and self-directed, always looking for new challenges and opportunities to enhance compliance processes. Your strong analytical skills enable you to provide recommendations for compliance improvements based on thorough assessments.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for developing a compliance program internal assessment framework that meets global export regulations. You will work closely with the AWS Global Export Compliance team to drive compliance excellence across AWS's most complex and strategic programs. Your responsibilities will include building policies, processes, and solutions for automated compliance, enabling business growth while ensuring adherence to export controls.

You will collaborate with legal teams to monitor and analyze dual-use and defense regulatory changes, conducting impact assessments to ensure that the compliance assessment program remains effective and up-to-date. Your role will involve engaging with various stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, ensuring that compliance solutions are practical and effective.

You will also be tasked with identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within the compliance program, leveraging your expertise to enhance processes and drive efficiency. Your ability to communicate complex compliance requirements clearly will be essential in fostering a culture of compliance within the organization.
