What you'll do

As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician at Amazon, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical and mechanical systems that support our data centers. Your role will involve hands-on work with critical equipment, including stand-by diesel generators, UPS systems, and cooling systems. You will ensure that all systems are operational and perform regular maintenance to prevent downtime.

You will collaborate closely with other technicians and engineers to address any issues that arise, leveraging your technical skills to diagnose problems and implement solutions quickly. Your expertise will help maintain our commitment to a 99.999% uptime, ensuring that our global digital experiences remain uninterrupted.

In addition to troubleshooting, you will participate in the planning and execution of upgrades and improvements to existing systems — your input will be valuable in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our operations. You will also be involved in training and mentoring new team members, sharing your knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
