You have a strong background in data center operations and management, with experience leading diverse teams in hardware and network diagnostics. Your organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively are key to your success in this role. You are comfortable working independently and managing your team to achieve operational goals. You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to convey complex information clearly and effectively. Your technical expertise in data centers, hardware, and network repair is complemented by your ability to innovate solutions and create documentation that enhances team performance. You are adaptable and willing to work in a 24/7 environment, including night shifts as required.
What you'll do
As a Data Center Manager at Amazon, you will be operationally responsible for the data center, overseeing the performance of your team and ensuring efficient management of day-to-day operations. You will prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators, ensuring that issues are resolved promptly. Your role will involve recruiting and training data technicians to maintain appropriate staffing levels and developing career paths for your employees. You will also participate in site-level project work, contributing to the continuous improvement of data center operations. Your ability to react quickly to complex problems will be critical in maintaining operational KPIs and ensuring the smooth functioning of the data center.
