Who you are

You are a motivated individual eager to join the AWS Infrastructure Services team as a Data Center Operations Technician. You have a foundational understanding of IT principles, including computer architecture and the Open Systems Interconnection Model (OSI model), which you apply to solve a variety of data center infrastructure issues. Your problem-solving skills enable you to troubleshoot hardware, fiber, and networking challenges effectively. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside a diverse team of engineers and specialists to maintain high standards for safety and security in one of the world's largest information system infrastructures.

You are detail-oriented and enjoy tackling complex problems that involve numerous variables impacting the supply chain. Your ability to communicate effectively with team members across various roles, including software, hardware, and network engineers, is essential for success in this position. You are committed to delivering the highest standards of service to ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

What you'll do

As a Data Center Operations Technician, you will be the primary resolver for a range of data center infrastructure issues. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and resolving hardware, fiber, and networking problems to ensure the smooth operation of AWS data centers. You will collaborate with engineers and specialists to implement solutions that enhance the efficiency and reliability of our infrastructure.
