Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in embedded software development, with experience in designing and deploying reliable software for consumer electronic products. Your expertise includes programming in languages such as Rust, C, and C++, and you are familiar with real-time embedded software philosophies and practices. You have a solid understanding of embedded Linux and other Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS), which allows you to effectively troubleshoot and optimize embedded systems. You are detail-oriented and have experience participating in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, from requirements gathering to testing and code coverage. You are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident due to export control requirements.
Desirable
Experience with bare-metal troubleshooting techniques and reviewing schematics and logic analyzers is a plus. Familiarity with satellite communication systems or similar technologies would be beneficial, as would any experience working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
What you'll do
As an Embedded Engineer at Amazon Leo, you will be responsible for developing embedded software for terrestrial devices within the Amazon Leo satellite system. You will engage in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, ensuring that the software you create meets the high standards required for reliable internet connectivity. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement code that is efficient and maintainable. You will also be tasked with testing your software to ensure it meets performance and reliability standards, contributing to the overall success of the Amazon Leo project.
You will work closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components, and you will be involved in troubleshooting and optimizing existing systems. Your contributions will directly impact the delivery of fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers in underserved areas, making a significant difference in their lives.
