You have experience with diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and cooling equipment, making you a vital part of the team that keeps the cloud running.
You understand the importance of collaboration in a diverse team of engineers and specialists — your ability to communicate effectively with software, hardware, and network engineers allows you to tackle challenges head-on. You are detail-oriented and proactive, always looking for ways to improve processes and enhance system reliability. What you'll do
As an Engineering Operations Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting mission-critical facilities within the data center — your role is essential in ensuring that all electrical and mechanical systems operate at peak performance. You will work with stand-by diesel generators, UPS systems, and cooling towers, performing routine maintenance and emergency repairs as needed. Your hands-on experience will be crucial in diagnosing issues and implementing solutions that keep our infrastructure running smoothly.
You will collaborate closely with other technicians and engineers to support AWS Infrastructure Services — your contributions will directly impact the reliability of our global infrastructure. You will participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce downtime. Your role will also involve documenting procedures and sharing knowledge with your team, fostering a culture of learning and development.
