Who you are
You are an Engineering Operations Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems. You have hands-on experience troubleshooting complex equipment and are familiar with data center operations. Your attention to detail ensures that mission-critical technology infrastructure remains operational, contributing to an extraordinary 99.999% uptime. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to work alongside a diverse team of engineers and specialists.
You possess a solid understanding of three-phase electrical systems, including switch gear, UPSs, and PDUs. Your experience with stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems makes you a valuable asset in maintaining the operational integrity of data centers. You are proactive in identifying potential issues and are skilled at implementing effective solutions to keep systems running smoothly.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Operations Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical and mechanical systems within Amazon's data centers. You will work directly with mission-critical facilities, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and effectively. Your role will involve hands-on work with various systems, including cooling towers, centrifugal chillers, and air handlers, to maintain optimal performance.
You will collaborate with a team of engineers to support AWS Infrastructure Services, contributing to the design, planning, delivery, and operation of global infrastructure. Your expertise will help address the most challenging problems in data center operations, ensuring that customers have continual access to the services they rely on. You will also participate in routine maintenance and emergency response efforts, playing a crucial role in the overall success of the data center operations.
