What you'll do

As an Engineering Operations Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the electrical and mechanical equipment that supports Amazon's data centers — your role is critical in ensuring that the technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. You will work with a diverse team of engineers to support AWS Infrastructure Services, contributing to the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure.

You will perform hands-on troubleshooting of various systems, including three-phase electrical systems, CRAC units, and centrifugal chillers — your expertise will help identify and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime. You will also be involved in maintaining stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems, ensuring that all equipment is operational and ready for use.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will partner with software, hardware, and network engineers to tackle the most challenging problems in data center operations — your contributions will directly impact the reliability and efficiency of the services provided to customers.
