Job Description
Who you are
You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you thrive in hands-on environments and enjoy troubleshooting complex equipment. Your experience includes working with diesel generators, three-phase electrical systems, and cooling equipment, ensuring that mission-critical facilities operate seamlessly.
You have a keen understanding of data center operations and the importance of maintaining uptime — your technical skills allow you to quickly diagnose and resolve issues that could impact service delivery. You are detail-oriented and committed to ensuring that all systems function optimally, contributing to the overall success of the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting various systems within Amazon's data centers — your expertise will help ensure that our facilities achieve an extraordinary 99.999% uptime. You will work closely with a diverse team of engineers to support the operation of critical infrastructure, including electrical systems, cooling systems, and backup power solutions.
You will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, identifying potential issues before they escalate — your proactive approach will help keep operations running smoothly. Additionally, you will collaborate with other technicians and engineers to implement improvements and optimize system performance.
Your role will also involve documenting maintenance activities and system changes, ensuring that all records are accurate and up-to-date — this documentation is crucial for compliance and operational efficiency. You will participate in training sessions to stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies, enhancing your skills and knowledge.
