You are an Engineering Technician with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems — you understand the intricacies of data center operations and are ready to tackle hands-on challenges. Your experience includes troubleshooting complex equipment, ensuring that mission-critical facilities operate smoothly and efficiently. You possess a solid understanding of electrical systems, including three-phase electrical systems, switch gear, UPSs, and PDUs — your technical expertise allows you to quickly diagnose and resolve issues that may arise. Additionally, you are familiar with mechanical systems such as centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, and air handlers, which are essential for maintaining optimal conditions in data centers. Your ability to work with both electrical and mechanical components makes you a versatile asset to the team.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Operation Technician at Amazon, you will play a critical role in maintaining the infrastructure that powers global digital experiences. Your responsibilities will include operating and troubleshooting various systems within the data center, including stand-by diesel generators and related fuel systems. You will ensure that all equipment is functioning optimally, contributing to the extraordinary uptime that Amazon is known for. You will collaborate with a team of engineers to address any operational challenges and implement solutions that enhance efficiency.
You will be responsible for conducting regular maintenance checks on electrical and mechanical systems, identifying potential issues before they escalate.
