Amazon is hiring a Financial Analyst II to support Finance Operations including Cash, AR, AP, Payroll, and Central Accounting functions. You'll lead finance transformation projects and ensure financial policies and internal controls are in place.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a focus on operational efficiency and financial analysis. You are skilled in performing month-end activities, including closing sub-ledgers and general ledger account reconciliations. Your experience allows you to lead finance transformation projects from conception to implementation, demonstrating a proficient level of professional skill and knowledge in accounting principles and systems design.
You understand the importance of change management strategies to support finance initiatives and are adept at developing and executing these strategies. Your ability to recognize complex and unique issues in financial operations enables you to consult effectively with leadership to achieve resolutions. You are committed to ensuring that appropriate financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are documented and in place, and you actively work on process improvements.
What you'll do
In this role, you will perform and support month-end activities, which include closing sub-ledgers, general ledger account reconciliations, and balance sheet account analysis. You will lead finance transformation projects, ensuring that they are executed efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will also include developing and executing change management strategies to support various finance initiatives.
You will demonstrate your expertise in accounting by applying in-depth knowledge to recognize complex issues and develop resolutions. Additionally, you will ensure that financial policies and procedures are documented and adhered to, while also working on process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. You will support new business and system launches, including user acceptance testing of accounting entries, to ensure the best results for our customers.
