You have a solid background in finance and accounting, demonstrating a proficient level of professional skill and knowledge in accounting principles and systems design. You are adept at recognizing complex issues and developing resolutions, consistently consulting with leadership to achieve effective outcomes. Your experience includes performing month-end activities, such as closing sub ledgers and general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. You are detail-oriented and capable of preparing month-end Flux analysis for P&L and balance sheet accounts, sharing insights with stakeholders regarding changes and their implications.

You understand the importance of internal controls and financial policies, ensuring they are documented and adhered to within the organization. Your proactive approach to process improvements helps streamline operations and enhance efficiency. You are skilled in reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, particularly in relation to GST Tax returns and sub-ledger reports, and you take necessary actions to address any discrepancies or issues that arise.

What you'll do

In this role, you will support Amazon's Finance Operations, Accounting & Analysis (FOAA) team by performing critical month-end activities that contribute to the overall financial health of the organization. You will be responsible for closing sub ledgers and conducting general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and up-to-date. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you prepare month-end Flux analysis for all P&L and balance sheet accounts, providing valuable insights to stakeholders regarding financial performance.

You will collaborate closely with leadership to address complex financial issues, applying your in-depth knowledge of accounting principles to develop effective solutions. Your role will also involve ensuring that appropriate financial policies and procedures are in place, documented, and followed throughout the organization. You will actively participate in process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.

Additionally, you will review balance sheet reconciliations, focusing on reconciliations with GST Tax returns and sub-ledger reports. You will highlight any issues that arise and take necessary actions to resolve them, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. Your contributions will play a key role in delivering great experiences for Amazon's customers by maintaining the integrity of financial operations.
