Job Description
Who you are
You have a solid background in finance and accounting, demonstrating a proficient level of professional skill and knowledge in accounting principles and systems design. You are capable of recognizing complex issues and developing resolutions while consulting with leadership to achieve effective outcomes. Your experience includes performing month-end activities, such as closing sub ledgers and conducting general ledger account reconciliations, which are crucial for maintaining accurate financial records.
You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to prepare month-end Flux analysis for all P&L and Balance sheet accounts. You are adept at sharing insights with stakeholders, providing clear explanations for changes in financial data. Your attention to detail ensures that appropriate financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are in place and documented, contributing to the overall integrity of financial operations.
What you'll do
In this role, you will support the month-end closing activities, ensuring that all sub ledgers are accurately closed and reconciled. You will prepare detailed analyses of P&L and Balance sheet accounts, highlighting significant fluctuations and providing insights to stakeholders. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures, as well as identifying opportunities for process improvements within the finance operations.
You will be responsible for preparing balance sheet reconciliations, particularly in relation to GST Tax returns and sub-ledger reports. This involves highlighting any discrepancies and taking necessary actions to resolve issues promptly. Your role is critical in maintaining the financial health of the organization and ensuring that all financial reporting is accurate and timely.
