Who you are
You are a seasoned Principal User Experience Designer with a strong understanding of interaction design and a passion for technology and innovation. You thrive in fast-paced environments, managing multiple projects while discerning brand needs related to visual identity. Your ability to present ideas through a strategic and creative lens sets you apart. You have a solid grasp of conversation design fundamentals and excel in collaborating with conversational designers, UX designers, researchers, product management, engineering, data science, and operational teams.
You have experience creating world-class, user-centered designs by integrating UX research, market research, business requirements, customer feedback, and usability study findings. Your leadership skills enable you to drive projects from early-stage concepts to the launch of new features and experiences. You are comfortable working with project briefs and managing stakeholder inputs, functional requirements, and timelines.
Desirable
Experience with AI technologies and a background in training language models would be a plus. Familiarity with usability testing and user feedback mechanisms is also beneficial.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for refining and creating new features for Rufus, Amazon's AI shopping assistant. You will lead the design process, ensuring that user experiences are seamless and enjoyable for both new and experienced Amazon shoppers. Your work will involve close collaboration with various teams, including Science and Editorial, to train the language model to generate content that aligns with your design intentions.
You will create user-centered designs that consider a variety of inputs, including UX research and customer feedback. Your role will require you to demonstrate leadership in driving design initiatives and ensuring that the final products meet high standards of usability and customer satisfaction. You will also be involved in presenting your ideas and designs to stakeholders, ensuring that all functional requirements are met while maintaining a focus on user experience.
What we offer
Amazon provides a competitive salary range of $164,000.00 - $221,800.00 USD annually, along with comprehensive benefits including dental, vision, and prescription insurance, as well as options for supplemental life plans.
