You are a highly motivated leader with a strong background in sourcing and vendor management, particularly in the telecommunications sector. You thrive on driving programs and projects that deliver value to a global organization, helping customers move ideas forward from ambiguous to crystal clear. Your expertise in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts is complemented by your ability to engage with technical leadership teams to shape strategy and drive execution. You have a proven track record of establishing program requirements and successfully closing new relationships as well as renewals.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with cross-organizational teams and ensure consistency in partnerships that span multiple teams within Amazon. Your experience in managing cost, delivery, and availability in a critical infrastructure environment is essential for the success of this role. You are adept at leveraging internal capabilities and external vendor relationships to deliver innovative solutions that meet the telecommunication connectivity needs of various Amazon business units.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead a global team of Telecom Vendor Managers, Procurement Specialists, and Technical Business Developers. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee Amazon's Telecom Supply Chain, ensuring that all internal customers receive the necessary telecommunication connectivity solutions. You will design and implement WAS connectivity solutions while expanding and managing relationships with Telecom vendors. Negotiating service agreements and contracts will be a key part of your duties, as you work to support multiple Amazon business units.
You will engage upstream with technical leadership teams to help shape the strategy for both internal and external facing projects across a variety of technologies and disciplines. Your role will involve driving consistency in information sharing and collaboration among partners that work with multiple teams within Amazon. You will establish program requirements and ensure that the management of cost, delivery, and availability is central to the success of your initiatives. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within your team, as you work to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the evolving needs of Amazon's telecommunication infrastructure.
