Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and extensive experience in mechanism design and integration — you thrive in multidisciplinary team settings and can work independently when needed. Your knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD software is complemented by your understanding of best practices for part design and advanced assemblies. You are familiar with DFx principles, which guide your design decisions to ensure cost-effectiveness and manufacturability. Your ability to author functional requirements and design verification plans showcases your attention to detail and commitment to quality. You are adept at building and testing mechanical subsystem prototypes, ensuring they meet the specified requirements.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and launching robotic End Effectors that are crucial for Amazon's automation solutions. You will author functional requirements and design verification plans, ensuring that all product designs meet the necessary specifications. Your role will involve building and testing mechanical subsystem prototypes and integrated systems, supporting product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments. You will work efficiently to support rapid schedules, collaborating with world-class teams to push the boundaries of robotic manipulation and human-robot interaction. Your contributions will directly impact the future of robotics and automation at Amazon, as you help develop systems that work safely alongside humans in dynamic environments.
