Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and you possess extensive experience in electromechanical packaging and mechanism design. Your background includes a strong understanding of thermal management principles, and you thrive in both independent and multidisciplinary team settings. You are proficient in SolidWorks or similar CAD software, and you understand best practices for part design and advanced assemblies. Your ability to author functional requirements and design verification plans sets you apart, as does your commitment to executing product designs that meet stringent requirements.
Desirable
Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFx) principles is a plus, as is familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques. You are comfortable working under tight schedules and can efficiently support product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments. Your collaborative spirit and technical expertise make you an ideal candidate for this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and launching novel robotics systems that will transform automation at Amazon's scale. You will author functional requirements and design verification plans, ensuring that all product designs meet the necessary specifications. Building and testing mechanical subsystem prototypes will be a key part of your responsibilities, as will supporting product releases to manufacturing and customer deployments.
