You have a strong background in mechanical engineering with a focus on robotics, having designed and troubleshot custom robotic systems from the ground up. Your analytical problem-solving skills allow you to tackle complex challenges in robotic design and fabrication. You thrive in interdisciplinary environments, collaborating with teams to create innovative solutions that enhance automation.
You possess practical knowledge of mechanical design, fabrication, assembly, and rapid prototyping, which enables you to bring concepts to life effectively. Your experience leading the development of complex electro-mechanical systems has equipped you with the skills to manage projects from concept to production. You are passionate about pushing the boundaries of what's possible in robotics and automation.
What you'll do
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Amazon, you will be responsible for developing innovative hardware systems for our emerging robotic solutions. You will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production, including specification, design, prototyping, validation, and testing. You will take ownership of the detailed design and performance of robotics systems, ensuring they meet the high standards required for automation at Amazon's scale.
You will collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality organizations, as well as external vendors, to optimize performance and enhance customer experience. Your role will involve improving existing hardware systems to ensure they are adaptable and capable of working safely alongside humans in dynamic environments. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and refining designs to meet operational needs effectively.
