Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in designing and troubleshooting custom robotics systems from the ground up. Your analytical problem-solving skills are complemented by practical knowledge of robotic design, fabrication, assembly, and rapid prototyping. You thrive in interdisciplinary environments and have led the development of complex electro-mechanical systems, ensuring that your designs meet both performance and safety standards.
You enjoy collaborating with diverse teams, working closely with operations, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality organizations to execute product designs from concept to production. Your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders allows you to drive projects forward and ensure alignment on goals and expectations.
Desirable
Experience with advanced control systems and AI integration in robotics is a plus. Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in robotics design will help you excel in this role. A background in automation and a passion for pushing the boundaries of what's possible in robotic manipulation and human-robot interaction will set you apart.
What you'll do
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Amazon Industrial Robotics, you will be responsible for developing innovative and complex hardware systems for emerging robotic solutions. You will take ownership of the detailed design and performance of robotics designs, ensuring they are optimized for functionality and user experience.
