You have a strong background in opto-mechanical engineering with a focus on manufacturing and test development — your experience includes leading teams in the production of complex optical and mechatronic systems. You possess deep expertise in optical test design, allowing you to effectively partner with development teams to enhance future iterations of satellite systems. Your problem-solving skills are exceptional, particularly in addressing the challenges of delivering high-performance modules for space applications.

You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with manufacturing engineers, quality assurance teams, and program managers to drive technical execution from initial production introduction to full-rate production. Your ability to balance production velocity with exceptional quality and cost competitiveness is a key asset. You are also familiar with the intricacies of factory operations and the importance of maintaining high standards throughout the manufacturing process.

What you'll do

As a Senior Opto Mechanical Engineer at Amazon Leo, you will lead the development of manufacturing and test processes for critical satellite components. You will be responsible for the production test development and the introduction of new manufacturing techniques that enhance the performance and reliability of our satellite systems.
