Job Description

Who you are

You have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and at least 4 years of experience in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, or Tooling Engineering. You are experienced in manufacturing processes for plastic and metal parts, demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive engineering studies and improve part yield rates. You are proactive in monitoring supplier processes and providing design recommendations to enhance product quality.

What you'll do

As a Mechanical Process Engineer at Amazon, you will identify and develop mechanical part manufacturing and decorative processes. You will review and develop part and sub-assembly process flows, including process fixture concepts and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles. Your role involves continuous engagement with suppliers to monitor their process capabilities and provide timely feedback on technical risks. You will drive technical issue resolution at suppliers throughout the development cycle, ensuring that all engineering documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Technical Program Management team to communicate the status of engineering issues effectively.
