Who you are

You have a strong background in industrial engineering with hands-on expertise in both mechanical and electrical domains — your experience enables you to seamlessly execute hardware automation, instrumentation, and post-processing tasks. You are skilled in discrete event simulations and data processing, which are crucial for supporting complex hardware builds. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Engineering, allows you to develop functional prototype hardware of complex electro/mechanical systems effectively.

You thrive in environments that demand technical innovation and a high level of quality and speed — your proactive approach to problem-solving and your attention to detail ensure that you consistently deliver results that meet or exceed expectations. You are comfortable working in a production environment and have a solid understanding of various testing and automation processes.

What you'll do

As an Industrial Engineer at Amazon, you will be embedded within design and development teams, collaborating closely with engineers, technicians, and test engineers to accelerate hardware development for the Leo project. You will lead a variety of tasks, including executing complex test and development needs, and providing operational support for mechanical, electrical, and optical hardware builds. Your role will involve driving technical innovation while maintaining a consistent high level of quality and speed in all deliverables.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing various testing and automation processes within a production environment, ensuring that all hardware meets the required specifications and performance standards. Your expertise will be essential in facilitating the seamless execution of hardware automation and instrumentation tasks, which are critical to the success of the Leo satellite broadband network.
