Who you are
You have extensive experience in operations management, ideally within a fulfillment or logistics environment. Your background includes managing teams and driving performance objectives, ensuring that all operational functions meet business goals. You excel in coaching and mentoring team members, fostering a positive work environment that promotes employee relations and leadership development.
You are adept at implementing quality initiatives and process improvements, utilizing Lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency. Your ability to set clear expectations and measure performance allows you to hold your team accountable while encouraging innovative ideas that contribute to continuous improvement.
Your collaborative nature enables you to work closely with various support staff, including HR, Finance, and IT, to secure necessary resources for projects and initiatives. You understand the importance of sharing best practices across departments and shifts, ensuring that all teams are aligned in their efforts to achieve operational excellence.
You are committed to maintaining high safety and quality standards, prioritizing customer experience in all operational decisions. Your strategic mindset allows you to anticipate challenges and proactively address them, ensuring that your functional area consistently meets or exceeds performance metrics.
Desirable
Experience in a fast-paced fulfillment center or logistics environment is a plus. Familiarity with budget management and resource allocation will enhance your effectiveness in this role.
What you'll do
As a Senior Operations Manager at Amazon, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations within the Fulfillment Center. You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, driving performance and ensuring that all operational objectives are met. Your role will involve setting and clarifying requirements for your team, measuring performance, and providing constructive feedback to foster growth and accountability.
You will spearhead quality initiatives and process change initiatives, leveraging Lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency. Your leadership will be crucial in creating a culture of continuous improvement, where best practices are shared and implemented across all departments.
Collaboration will be key in your role, as you will work closely with support staff to build and secure resources for various projects and initiatives. You will take proactive steps to ensure that your team is equipped with the necessary tools and support to succeed.
Your focus on safety, quality, and customer experience will guide your decision-making, ensuring that all operational functions align with Amazon's high standards. You will be instrumental in developing leadership bench strength within your team, coaching and mentoring team members to achieve their full potential.
What we offer
Amazon provides a competitive salary range of $135,000 to $182,700 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
