Experience in a high-volume fulfillment center is a plus. Familiarity with budget management and operational metrics will help you excel in this role. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and IT, to secure resources and support for your initiatives. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and are always looking for ways to improve processes and share best practices across departments.

What you'll do

As a Senior Operations Manager at Amazon, you will be responsible for all aspects of operations at the Fulfillment Center. You will lead a team of Operations and Area Managers, setting clear expectations and measuring performance to ensure that operational goals are met. You will drive the creation of quality initiatives and process change initiatives, leveraging Lean methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Your role will involve collaborating closely with support staff to build and secure resources for projects and initiatives in your area. You will take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments and shifts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

You will also be responsible for the overall safety, quality, and performance of either Inbound or Outbound operations. This includes setting and clarifying requirements for your team, providing feedback, and holding them accountable for their performance. You will nurture ideas from your team and roll them into improvement plans, ensuring that everyone is engaged in the process of enhancing operational performance. Your leadership will be crucial in building positive employee relations and developing the leadership bench strength within the Fulfillment Center.
