Amazon is hiring an Interim Operations Shift Manager to lead a team of associates at their Delivery Station in Ravenhall. You'll be responsible for maintaining safety and performance standards while ensuring timely delivery of customer orders.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in operations management and a passion for leading teams — your experience includes motivating, mentoring, and coaching associates to achieve high performance. You pride yourself on maintaining the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility is key, as you will be working a shift pattern of 4 days on and 3 days off, ensuring that operations run smoothly across 7 days a week.
You are proactive in identifying and leading process improvement initiatives — your knowledge of Lean tools and methodologies allows you to implement effective strategies that enhance operational efficiency. Collaboration is second nature to you, as you work closely with support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to meet business objectives. You understand the importance of fostering a Health and Safety culture on-site and are committed to upholding these standards.
What you'll do
As an Operations Shift Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Amazon associates, ensuring that workflows run smoothly and customer expectations are met. You will be responsible for maintaining health and safety standards while promoting a culture of safety within the team. Your role will involve collaborating with various support teams to develop plans that align with business objectives and drive operational success.
You will continuously improve the efficiency of delivery processes, ensuring that customer orders are delivered accurately and cost-effectively. Your leadership will inspire your team to achieve the best results for customers, and you will play a critical role in maintaining high performance levels. You will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing Lean tools to enhance operational workflows.
