You have experience in operations management and a passion for leading teams — you thrive in environments where you can motivate, mentor, and coach associates to achieve their best. You understand the importance of maintaining high standards of safety, quality, attendance, and performance, and you lead by example with empathy. You are proactive in identifying process improvements and have a strong understanding of Lean tools to enhance operational efficiency.

You possess excellent communication skills and can collaborate effectively with various support teams, including Safety, Engineering, and Human Resources. You are comfortable with physical tasks and understand the demands of the role, which may require pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching varying weights. You have a track record of successfully managing teams and ensuring that workflows run smoothly to meet customer expectations.

Desirable

Experience in a logistics or delivery environment is a plus, as is familiarity with health and safety regulations. You are adaptable and can handle the challenges that come with managing operations in a fast-paced setting.

What you'll do

As an Operations Shift Manager at Amazon, you will lead and develop a team of associates within the Delivery Station. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that customer orders are delivered accurately and on time. You will work closely with your team to maintain high levels of safety and quality, fostering a culture of health and safety on-site. You will collaborate with support teams to develop plans that meet business objectives and proactively identify areas for process improvement.

You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring that workflows are efficient and effective. This includes monitoring performance metrics and implementing strategies to enhance productivity. You will lead by example, demonstrating the behaviors and attitudes you expect from your team. Your role will also involve coaching and mentoring associates, helping them to grow and succeed in their roles.

In addition to managing your team, you will be involved in strategic planning and decision-making processes that impact the overall success of the Delivery Station. You will work to continuously improve delivery processes, ensuring that customer expectations are not only met but exceeded. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and reporting on operational performance.
