Overview

Amazon is hiring a Senior Mechatronics & Robotics Technician to lead service technicians in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You'll work with Embedded Linux and Mechanical Engineering principles in Tracy, California.

Who you are

You have extensive experience in mechatronics and robotics, with a strong background in maintaining and overseeing material handling equipment (MHE) and facility equipment. Your leadership skills shine as you guide service technicians and develop training plans, ensuring that your team is well-prepared to tackle challenges in automated systems. You are adept at designing solutions for complex problems and managing projects effectively, contributing to the continuous improvement of operations.

Your technical expertise includes a solid understanding of robotics systems and their integration into operational workflows. You are comfortable working with Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems and have experience in both planned and emergency repairs. Your ability to mentor and train others is a key asset, as you help develop the next generation of technicians in your field.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead a team of service technicians in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing material handling equipment (MHE) and facility equipment, ensuring that all systems operate smoothly and efficiently. Your role will involve designing solutions for difficult problems, managing projects, and overseeing vendors during repairs.

You will also play a crucial role in training and mentoring service technicians and contract technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within your team. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and efficiency of Amazon's operations, helping to deliver exceptional service to customers worldwide.
