Overview

Amazon is seeking an Early Life Cycle Manager to manage end-to-end project lifecycles for new launches within the RME division. This role requires strong project management skills and technical acumen, with a focus on coordinating cross-functional teams.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in project management, ideally with experience in managing large-scale engineering projects. Your expertise allows you to effectively gather requirements, plan resources, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle. You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality outcomes on time.

You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to assess and communicate project status clearly. You are proactive in driving escalations on potential risks and delays, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned. Your technical acumen allows you to understand the complexities of engineering projects, making you a valuable asset to the team.

You are adaptable and willing to travel up to 75% nationwide, demonstrating your commitment to the role and the projects you manage. You are also open to relocating within a reasonable commuting distance of the office, which shows your dedication to being present for your team and projects.

Desirable

Experience in the Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) field is a plus, as it will enhance your ability to manage projects effectively. Familiarity with engineering principles and practices will help you navigate the technical aspects of the projects you oversee.

What you'll do

As an Early Life Cycle Manager at Amazon, you will manage the complete project lifecycle for new launches within the RME division. This includes gathering requirements, planning, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and ensuring successful deployment. You will own large-scale engineering projects from planning and design through installation, commissioning, qualification, and launch support.

You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure that all project milestones are met and that the projects align with Amazon's customer-centric goals. Your role will involve assessing project status regularly and communicating updates to stakeholders, driving escalations when necessary to address potential risks and delays.

You will also be responsible for coordinating with various teams across the organization, ensuring that everyone is aligned and working towards the same objectives. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously will be crucial in this fast-paced environment.
