You have over 12 years of experience working directly with government officials and regulatory bodies, demonstrating a keen understanding of the Mexican government and public policy environment. Your background includes extensive public policy experience, allowing you to navigate complex political landscapes effectively. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to educate key government officials and their staff on Amazon's business and policy issues that impact customers and employees. You are adept at collaborating with various internal teams, including Legal and PR, to align business priorities with public policy goals. Your strategic mindset allows you to assess potential government activities and develop effective mitigation or enhancement strategies. You thrive in high-pressure environments and are comfortable facilitating high-level meetings with executives and policymakers.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead Amazon's public policy team in Mexico, developing and executing advocacy objectives that align with the company's business goals. You will work collaboratively with business units to ensure that public policy strategies are effectively communicated and implemented. Your responsibilities will include educating government officials about Amazon's operations and the policy issues that affect the company. You will assess and communicate potential government activities back to the business, developing strategies to address them. Additionally, you will coordinate external advocacy efforts and outreach programs to enhance Amazon's public policy initiatives. You will facilitate high-level meetings for executives with key policymakers, ensuring that Amazon's interests are represented effectively. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the company's public policy strategy in Mexico, making a significant impact on its operations and reputation.
