Who you are

You are an entry-level Quality Assurance Engineer who thrives on testing complex systems and enjoys the challenge of operating mission-critical systems under high loads. You have a strong understanding of software internals and can debug problems using log files. Your experience includes writing automated tests with scripting tools and user-level automated tools, making you a versatile contributor to the team.

You are capable of taking tasks from start to completion with minimal help, demonstrating your ability to work independently while also being a team player. You understand the importance of accuracy in tax calculations and are motivated to ensure that customers receive the correct tax amounts at order time. Your attention to detail and analytical mindset will help you excel in this role.

What you'll do

As a QAE I at Amazon, you will be responsible for testing applications and products at both the user and code levels. You will develop test strategies and plans to ensure that the tax calculation platform operates smoothly and accurately. Your role will involve managing hundreds of millions of records and responding to millions of service requests per minute, ensuring that each transaction is processed correctly.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the domain and product in detail, allowing you to come up with effective testing strategies. Your responsibilities will include both manual and automated testing, as well as debugging issues that arise during testing. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the tax calculation system, which is essential for compliance with global tax laws.
