You are a Quality Assurance Engineer who thrives on testing complex systems and relishes the challenge of operating mission-critical systems under high loads. You have demonstrated experience in test planning, design, strategy, and execution of highly complex systems. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills enable you to design and plan testing conditions, scripts, and data sets to ensure appropriate coverage and control.

You are not just a black box tester; you understand software internals and can debug problems using log files. You have experience writing clean scripts and code quickly, preferably in Java, and are familiar with various automation tools and frameworks. Your understanding of QA methodologies, life cycle, and processes is strong, making you an excellent individual contributor capable of taking tasks from start to completion with minimal help.

What you'll do

As a QA Engineer I at Amazon, you will be responsible for testing applications and products at both the user and code levels, using both manual and automated tools. You will come up with test strategies and plans, create test cases, and drive the test case sign-off processes with stakeholders. Your role will involve contributing to code-level unit tests, executing tests, and reporting results to ensure the highest quality of software delivery. You will work closely with development teams to understand the domain and product in detail, ensuring that testing conditions are met and that the software performs optimally under high loads.
