Job Description
Who you are
You have 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in both manual and automated testing. Your background includes working as a QA lead on medium to large-sized projects, where you've honed your skills in developing and executing test plans and test cases. You are adept at reviewing user interfaces for conformity and functionality, ensuring that every feature meets high-quality standards.
Your experience with at least one automated test framework, such as Selenium or Appium, showcases your ability to implement effective testing strategies. You understand the importance of finding, isolating, documenting, and tracking bugs through resolution, and you are a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with Software Development Engineers (SDE) to grasp the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented.
Desirable
While not mandatory, experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality will set you apart. A proactive approach to improving and employing testing strategies and techniques is highly valued in our team.
What you'll do
As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Amazon, you will be responsible for the manual and automated testing of features across various platforms, including web and mobile. You will own the planning, development, and execution of test plans and test cases, ensuring that all features meet the highest quality standards. Your role will involve reviewing user interfaces for conformity and functionality, and you will help develop, improve, and employ testing strategies and techniques.
You will find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution, interpreting and reporting testing results to stakeholders. Your insights will be crucial in advocating for quality throughout the development process. Collaborating with Software Development Engineers, you will gain a deep understanding of the technical architecture and implementation of features, which will enhance your testing effectiveness.
