Job Description

Who you are

You have 3+ years of quality assurance engineering experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of both manual and automated testing processes. Your background includes working with various platforms, including web and mobile, ensuring that features meet high-quality standards. You are familiar with professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and testing methodologies. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with users, technical teams, and senior management to gather requirements and articulate software product features.

You are detail-oriented and have a knack for finding, isolating, documenting, and tracking bugs through resolution. Your experience includes developing and executing test plans and test cases, as well as reviewing user interfaces for conformity and functionality. You are proactive in improving testing strategies and techniques, always advocating for quality in every phase of the development process.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for manual and automated testing of features across various platforms, ensuring that all aspects of the software meet Amazon's high standards. You will own the planning, development, and execution of test plans and test cases, collaborating closely with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture of the features being implemented. You will interpret and report testing results, providing valuable insights to the development team and stakeholders.

You will help develop, improve, and employ testing strategies and techniques, continuously seeking ways to enhance the quality assurance process. Your role will involve finding, isolating, documenting, and tracking bugs through resolution, ensuring that all issues are addressed promptly. You will also be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process, contributing to a culture of excellence within the team.
