You have a strong background in RF design engineering, with experience in designing and optimizing antennas and RF front-ends. Your expertise includes working with phased arrays and various RF technologies, and you are comfortable using EM design tools and conducting RF system analysis. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance solutions. You understand the complexities of RF performance from ADC to antenna radiation, and you are skilled in designing over-the-air link models and system performance models using ITU/3GPP style analysis. Your analytical skills allow you to optimize antenna and array architectures effectively.

Desirable

Experience with satellite communication systems and familiarity with 3GPP standards would be advantageous. A background in working with RFIC, PA/LNA, and system teams is also a plus, as is knowledge of the latest advancements in RF technologies.

What you'll do

As an RF Design Engineer at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in the LEO initiative, which aims to enhance global broadband access through a constellation of satellites. You will design, integrate, and characterize antennas and arrays, ensuring they meet the RF system goals. Your responsibilities will include owning the end-to-end RF performance from ADC/DAC through the RF front-end to antenna radiation. You will collaborate with RF, systems, antenna, software, and calibration teams to deliver high-performance beams and links for both space and ground segments. You will also be involved in designing and optimizing antenna and array architectures, focusing on element selection, lattice, feeding networks, and beam-forming strategies. Your work will contribute to closing the digital divide by providing reliable connectivity to underserved communities.
