Who you are

You have extensive experience in workplace health and safety management, ideally in a logistics or fulfillment environment. Your background includes leading safety initiatives and fostering a culture of safety among diverse teams. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with various departments and external partners. You are adept at risk assessment and implementing preventive measures to mitigate workplace hazards. Your leadership style emphasizes mentorship and development, as you guide your team in achieving safety goals. You are committed to continuous improvement and are not afraid to challenge the status quo to enhance safety practices.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the safety activities at Amazon's Fulfillment Center, focusing on creating a robust safety culture. You will develop and implement annual WHS goals and plans, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. You will conduct risk assessments and internal audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Your responsibilities will also include planning and executing fire prevention and disaster response strategies. You will mentor and develop your team, setting performance goals and providing support for their professional growth. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal departments and external partners to enhance safety protocols and share best practices across the network.
