Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in product management, particularly in technical environments, where you've successfully driven product vision and strategy. Your strong business sense is complemented by a solid understanding of financial and accounting concepts, enabling you to make informed decisions that align with both business goals and regulatory requirements. You thrive in entrepreneurial settings and are comfortable navigating ambiguity, which allows you to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and priorities.
Your ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and cross-functional partners is one of your key strengths. You understand the importance of stakeholder communication and can articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. You are skilled at defining product requirements and testing plans, ensuring that all aspects of the product lifecycle are covered.
You possess exceptional foresight in designing integration patterns that can evolve with business needs. This forward-thinking approach helps minimize disruptions to existing systems while accommodating future growth and regulatory changes. You are also adept at driving difficult trade-off decisions, balancing competing priorities to deliver the best outcomes for the business and its customers.
Desirable
Experience in the technology sector, particularly in supply chain or logistics, would be a significant advantage. Familiarity with satellite technology or broadband initiatives is a plus, as it aligns closely with the mission of Amazon Leo. You are also encouraged to bring any experience you have in working with diverse teams across various functions, such as Tax, Accounting, and Finance, to enhance collaboration and product development.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the development of a technical product suite for Amazon Leo's Inventory and Fulfillment Technology team. Your primary responsibility will be to define the product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the Leo initiative. You will work closely with multiple engineering teams to translate business needs into actionable product requirements, driving the development process from concept to launch.
You will engage with stakeholders across various departments, including Tax, Accounting, and Finance, to gather insights and feedback that will inform product decisions. Your ability to communicate effectively will be crucial as you present your ideas and solutions to both technical and business audiences. You will also be responsible for creating detailed testing plans to ensure that the product meets quality standards and user expectations.
As you navigate the complexities of product management, you will need to make difficult trade-off decisions that balance technical feasibility with business objectives. Your analytical skills will help you assess the impact of these decisions and communicate them clearly to stakeholders. You will also monitor the product's performance post-launch, using data to drive continuous improvement and inform future iterations.
What we offer
Amazon offers a competitive compensation package, including equity and comprehensive benefits. You will have the opportunity to work on a groundbreaking initiative that aims to close the digital divide and provide fast, affordable broadband to underserved communities. Join a team that values innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the world. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
