Who you are

You have 3+ years of professional software development experience, demonstrating your ability to build new software from the ground up and create pragmatic solutions for complex business problems. Your experience includes 2+ years of design or architecture, where you've applied design patterns, reliability, and scaling principles to both new and existing systems. You enjoy collaborating closely with operations staff in Amazon fulfillment centers around the world, ensuring that the software you develop meets the needs of high-volume, low-latency environments.

You possess a strong understanding of the technical challenges involved in building software that scales the business and leads the industry through innovation. Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle both business and technical challenges effectively, and you thrive in fast-paced environments where you can work with smart, passionate software developers. You are eager to contribute to a team that delights millions of customers worldwide through innovative solutions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for building core software components and services that orchestrate the movement of inventory within warehouses. You will interface with sortation and SCOT systems to support high fidelity promise and planning decisions. Your work will directly impact the operations of 570+ fulfillment centers across North America, Europe, and Japan, as you help innovate in supply chain and delivery models.

You will face challenging problems that leverage new technologies, and your contributions will be crucial in supporting high availability services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the software you develop meets the operational needs of Amazon's fulfillment centers. Your role will involve designing and implementing scalable solutions that can handle the complexities of an ever-expanding transportation network and product selection.
