You have 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience, demonstrating your ability to build new software from the ground up and create pragmatic solutions for complex business problems. Your experience includes 2+ years of design or architecture work, where you've applied design patterns, reliability, and scaling principles to both new and existing systems. You enjoy collaborating closely with operations staff in Amazon fulfillment centers around the world, ensuring that your software solutions meet the needs of the business and enhance customer experience.

You possess a strong understanding of high-volume, low-latency, and high-availability services, and you thrive on solving deep technical problems. Your technical expertise includes proficiency in Java and C#, and you are familiar with AWS technologies, which are essential for building scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment. You are a proactive communicator and enjoy working with smart, passionate software developers to innovate and lead the industry.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for building core software components and services that orchestrate the movement of inventory within warehouses. You will interface with sortation and SCOT systems to support high fidelity promise and planning decisions. Your work will directly impact the efficiency of operations across 570+ fulfillment centers worldwide, as you tackle challenging business and technical problems that arise from rapid expansion into new geographies and innovations in supply chain.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that enhance the customer experience and streamline operations. Your responsibilities will include writing clean, maintainable code, participating in code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers. You will also be involved in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring, ensuring that the systems you build are reliable and scalable.
