Who you are
You have a strong background in software development, particularly in building consumer-facing applications that prioritize user experience. Your experience includes working with distributed systems, ensuring they are scalable and efficient. You are familiar with UI/UX principles and understand how to create engaging interfaces that educate users about product safety. You have a passion for leveraging technology to improve customer experiences and are excited about the opportunity to influence the direction of a new team.
You are comfortable working with data-driven insights and analytical systems, using them to inform product decisions and enhance user engagement. Your technical skills include proficiency in Java and familiarity with AWS services, which you have used to build robust applications. You are also interested in exploring Generative AI technologies to further enhance the safety experience for consumers.
What you'll do
As a Software Development Engineer on the Buyer Safety Experience team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing features that improve the safety experience for Amazon customers. This includes creating actionable information from product warnings and ensuring that consumers receive relevant safety recommendations tailored to their needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build scalable systems that support high-traffic pages on Amazon.
You will also work on integrating analytical feedback systems that provide insights into customer behavior and product safety concerns. Your role will involve using your technical expertise to influence the design and functionality of the Buyer Safety Experience, ensuring it meets the highest standards of user engagement and safety.
