Overview

Amazon is hiring a Systems Engineer for the Amazon Leo project to work on integration, simulation, and testing of phased array systems. You'll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team and utilize skills in RF equipment and automation.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering. You possess experience in measuring, validating, and performing root cause analysis on phased array systems and sub-systems. Your familiarity with standard RF equipment enables you to automate and efficiently collect data. You are skilled in creating and modifying software features to test phased array system metrics such as EIRP, EVM, and G/T. You have a collaborative spirit and can act as a liaison with software teams to drive new product requirements based on RF system test needs. Your expertise includes end-to-end modeling, simulation, and analysis of digital phased array systems.

Desirable

Experience with satellite communication systems or similar technologies would be a plus. Familiarity with automation tools and software development practices is also beneficial.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the integration, simulation, and testing of state-of-the-art space-borne phased array systems. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to improve test speed and data collection processes. Your responsibilities will include measuring and validating phased array systems, performing root cause analysis, and correlating test data with end-to-end system level simulations. You will interface with standard RF equipment to enable automation and efficient data collection. Additionally, you will create and modify software features to enable testing of standard phased array system metrics. You will also collaborate with the Leo software team to drive new product requirements based on RF system test needs.
