Amazon is hiring a Trade Assistant to support the maintenance and repair of conveyor and building technology at their Kemps Creek site. You'll work closely with the technical team to ensure high availability of systems. This role requires hands-on experience in technical maintenance.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 1-3+ years of hands-on experience in technical maintenance within manufacturing, logistics, or industrial environments — you've developed skills in basic mechanical fault finding and equipment inspections, assisting tradespeople or technicians. You demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety protocols and possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
You are comfortable using basic workshop tools and managing work orders through a laptop or tablet. Your initiative and technical know-how enable you to perform preventive, reactive, and condition-based monitoring maintenance tasks effectively. You understand the importance of maintaining a safe and clean work station during and after performing your duties.
What you'll do
As a Trade Assistant at Amazon, you will support the maintenance and repair of conveyor and building technology as well as production systems in our logistics center. You will work closely with the technical team to ensure the high availability of technical systems. Your responsibilities will include performing approved maintenance tasks on various equipment, replacing spare parts following standard operating procedures, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
You will have the opportunity to complete additional training to broaden your skills within the Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team. This role is your chance to step into the RME world and make a significant impact on the efficiency of our operations.
